Lead Worker Training

Training opportunities will soon be available through the Lawrence Lead Abatement Program. We are currently developing the bid specifications and a selection process to hire a Licensed Environmental Training Facility to provide this specialized training. The Lead Worker Training Program will offer an opportunity for 120 Lawrence residents to receive classroom training, hands on experience, medical screening and licensing to work in the Lead Hazard Abatement field. In addition, some Renovation Repair and Painting (RRP) training may also become available if there is a need for this in the community.

Apply

Applicants must live in the City of Lawrence and qualify as a low income resident. Individuals who successfully complete the training sessions will receive Lead Worker Certification and medical examinations required to obtain a license. The successful graduates will then receive a Massachusetts Lead Worker license, also paid for by the program. For more information about the worker training program please contact Steve Vega, Lead Program Director, at 978-620-3523.
