The mission of the Department of Public Works is to provide quality service to the residents of Lawrence. The DPW provides clean, safe, potable drinking water, maintenance of infrastructure with upgrades to roadways, sidewalks, park maintenance and upkeep of the water and sewer system.
Water Department Update
The newly constructed plant will be completed in the Spring 2007. The Department of Public Works has also undertaken a small main replacement program city wide.
