A MESSAGE FROM THE LAWRENCE ELECTION DIVISION STAFF
The City has completed mailing the 2006 annual census forms to Lawrence residents. Confirmation Notice postcards will be mailed next week to registered voters from whom we have yet to receive a completed census form. If you receive the Confirmation Notice postcard, please complete the information requested and correct any information if it is necessary. Once completed, sign it and return it to the Election Division. Postage on the return postcard is pre-paid so you can mail it without additional postage. If you prefer, return the completed Confirmation Notice postcard to Election Division Office in person. Please be sure to return the Confirmation Notice postcard to the Election Division Office by August 30, 2006 to update and confirm your status as an “active” registered voter.
If you have moved to another city/town, please complete, sign, and return the Confirmation Notice postcard and your name will be immediately removed from the voters list in the City of Lawrence. You must register to vote in your new city/town.
Registered voters for whom the Election Division has not received a 2006 census form or a Confirmation Notice will be designated as an “inactive voter”.
Any voter can verify and update their voter registration by contacting the Election Division who will assist you.
