Storefront of the Month Program

The Storefront of the Month award to eliminate litter is off to a great start. The award recognizes businesses that make the extra effort to keep Lawrence beautiful. This award will inspire others to eradicate trash, pick-up litter and to improve the quality of
life in the City of Lawrence. Because a clean storefront is great for business!
Nominations and suggestions for Storefront of the Month are accepted via email to FOConnor@CityofLawrence.com or submitted to the Community Development Department located at 147 Haverhill Street Lawrence, MA 01841 c/o Frank O’Connor. |

Yard of the Month/Storefront of the Month Criteria
To win this prestigious award, the residents of a home or business owners in Lawrence must meet the following criteria:
1. Property (yard or storefront property) must be free of trash/litter out to the street.
2. Outstanding seasonal upkeep: Lawn is mown spring/summer, Leaves raked in the autumn, Snow & ice removal during winter. Flowerbeds are well kept and free of weeds and debris. Bushes, trees and shrubs pruned.
3. Award given to the person keeping the yard or storefront tidy.
4. Overall property appearance neat and tidy, not limited to lawn or use of flowers.
5. Creativity will be the tie-breaker. Swings, furniture, ornaments are not a penalty.
