Bourgoin Square Park was named for Sergeant Lucien Bourgion, one of Lawrence' finest, who was killed in action. Bourgoin Square Park is a community park located on West Street, between Wendell Street and Acton Street. The park has a softball field, a football/soccer field, as well as a playground. The playground facilities include a jungle-gym, a slide, several swings, and a see-saw. On street parking is available, with no designated handicapped spaces. Portable restrooms are available, but are not handicap accessible.
