Costello Park was named for James Costello of the United States Marine Corps; he was killed in action in the Korean War on December 14th 1951. Situated on the Shawsheen River, at the intersection of Crawford Street and Abbott Street, Costello provides fun for the whole family. There is a playground for the little ones with a slide, monkey bars, and swings. For the adults there are two tennis courts and a basketball court. And the park has picnic tables for a full day. An off street unpaved parking lot is available, with no specific handicapped spaces. There are no restrooms available. Costello Park is open from dawn to dusk.
