NOTICE

The City of Lawrence and Allied Waste have negotiated a new solid waste and recycling contract effective 10/1/09.

As part of the new contract, and the City’s continued efforts to reduce the volume of solid waste and its associated costs, the City will no longer include any business establishments, mixed use properties or apartment buildings with 7 or more units.

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY trash services will no longer be provided to the follow establishments:

~All business establishments

~All property classified as Mixed use ( Landlords must arrange for private pick up for apartment dwellings over any business establishment )

~Any building with 7 or more apartments
