Firearm Licensing

New Applicants

 You must complete your LTC application via the online portal at: https://mircsportal.chs.state.ma.us/mircs-portal/login.xhtml.  When the online application is complete, you must drop off the following paperwork to the Lawrence Police Department:

1. Copy of MA Basic Gun Safety Certificate
2. Copy of Birth Certificate
3. Copy of Naturalization Certificate (If applicable)
4. Copy of Permanent Resident Card (If applicable)
5. Copy of Proof of Address (Utility Bill or recent mail delivered to address)
6. Copy of MA Driver’s License, MA ID or Passport
7. Money Order Only for $100.00-Payable to CITY OF LAWRENCE

 *** The paperwork above must be dropped off in a sealed envelope made out to the Firearm Licensing Unit. *** 

Renewal Applicants

You must complete your LTC Renewal application via the on-line portal at: https://mircsportal.chs.state.ma.us/mircs-portal/login.xhtml.  When the online application is complete you must drop off the following paperwork to the Lawrence Police Department:

1. Copy of your signed LTC renewal application with LTC renewal affidavit
2. Copy of current LTC being renewed
3. Copy of MA Driver’s License, MA ID or Passport
4. Money Order Only for $100.00-Payable to CITY OF LAWRENCE

 **Over the age of 70 is free**

*** The paperwork above must be dropped off in a sealed envelope made out to the Firearm Licensing Unit. ***
