This morning at approximately 5:09 am, Lawrence Police responded to
the 400 block of Haverhill Street for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, responding Officers encountered
a 24 year old female with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. She was treated on scene by Paramedics and EMT’s
from Lawrence General Hospital, and was transported by ambulance to that
facility. She has subsequently been transferred to a Boston hospital.
Based on the information obtained at this point in the
investigation, this is not believed to be a random act of violence.
