As was previously reported on November 26th, Lawrence Police began investigating an assault and battery which occurred in the early evening hours on Foster Street near Farnham Street. Upon arriving on scene, officers encountered a male victim with facial injuries who was treated on scene by EMT's and paramedics from Lawrence General Hospital. He was transported by ambulance to that facility and subsequently transported to a Boston Hospital.
Last evening, Lawrence Police arrested Edwright Rosa age 40 of Lawrence in connection with the incident. He was arraigned today in Lawrence District Court charged with assault to murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
