On
Tuesday August 21st 2018, Officer Jose Nunez, of the Lawrence Police
Patrol Division, while conducting a motor vehicle stop on Bennington Street was
approach by a male who stated that an individual was attempting to rob him of
his cell phone on Sunset Ave. The male stated that the individual had a black
object that appeared to be a firearm. Officer Nunez passed this information
onto to the Lawrence Police Dispatch, and provided a description of the suspect’s
vehicle, a license plate, and stated that there were three other individuals in
the vehicle with the suspect. Moments
later, Officer Joshua Waller, of the Methuen Police Department who was working
a construction detail in the area, informed dispatch that he had located the
vehicle, and was attempting to stop it on Sunset Ave. Several units arrived and
conducted a felony stop. Two black BB guns were recovered in the vehicle. Both weapons could have easily been mistaken
as firearms.

James Watson age 24 of Lawrence charged
with Attempt to Commit a Crime (Robbery).
Taleyah Bohen age 20 of Nashua NH charged
with Threat to Commit a Crime (Robbery)
Jade Haggett age 33 of Nashua NH charged with
Threat to Commit a Crime (Robbery)
Paul . Silvera age 39 of Lawrence charged with Furnishing a
False Identification to Law Enforcement
