This morning at approximately 5:25 am Lawrence Police responded to auto accident in which a 75 year old Lawrence man was struck by a vehicle operated by a 55 year old Lawrence women. The accident took place on Broadway near the Methuen Lawrence line. Both the 75 year old male and the operator of the vehicle were treated on scene by the Lawrence Fire Department and Paramedics and EMT’s from Lawrence General Hospital. Both individuals were transported by ambulance to that facility. The male was subsequently transported to a Boston Hospital.
The incident is under investigation by Lawrence Police, Massachusetts State Police Accident Reconstruction Team and Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene.
