Once again, Columbia Gas has let their bureaucrats make decisions that make sense on the balance sheet, but make no sense for people. Clearly there should have been better communication. There should have been payment plans made available and for those affected, there should be no bill at all, regardless of when they were lit. We will be setting up an email account, mygasbilliswrong@cityoflawrence.com for any resident who has received a gas bill they believe is inaccurate or unwarranted. It is my sincere hope that Columbia Gas revisits their billing strategy and re-issues these bills.
