As a result of complaints from area residents, the North Shore Gang Task Force and Lawrence Police Department’s Street Narcotics Unit conducted surveillance and executed a search warrant at a Warren Street residence. As a result of the search warrant and surveillance, two individuals were arrested for drug distribution and narcotics were seized.
Jose Villar age 27 and Giovani Rodriguez-Rivera age 34, both of Lawrence, were arrested at the Warren Street address. Both Villar and Rodriguez-Rivera were arraigned in Lawrence District Court on Drug Distribution Charges. In addition to the new charges stemming from this operation, Rodriguez-Rivera had an active warrant for his arrest for Drug Distribution from a previous arrest.
As always, the Lawrence Police will continue to partner with other local, state, and federal agencies to take dangerous individuals off the street.
