On Wednesday evening, members of the Lawrence Police Patrol Division responded to Pemberton Park for a report of a car playing loud music. Upon arrival Officers encountered a two door Honda Civic which had been retrofitted with very large speakers playing extremely loud music. Officer Luis Moreta identified the operator of the vehicle as Elvis Ortega-Nunez age 23 of Lawrence. Ortega-Nunez was cited for loud music and issued a no trespass notice.
The very next evening, Officer Chris Bussey could hear loud music coming from Pemberton Park while on patrol on the opposite side of the Merrimack River. Officer Bussey and Sergeant Mike Simard responded to Pemberton Park to further investigate the source of music. Upon arrival they observed the same Honda Civic operated by Ortega-Nunez. He was placed under arrest, charged with disturbing the peace and trespassing after notice. He has been arraigned in Lawrence District Court on the above charges.
