LAWRENCE
In early March, Lawrence Police responded to the area of
Canal and Mill Streets for a report shots fired. As part their initial
investigation the responding Officers were able to interview witnesses, as well as recover shell casings. The investigation was handed over to Lawrence Police Gang Unit Detectives Jesse Fabian, Sean O’Keefe, and Alexander Ovalles. As part of the
investigation, Detectives assigned to both the Gang Unit and Street
Narcotics Enforcement Unit reviewed video footage from the citywide camera system, as well as private video. After reviewing the video footage, Detectives
were able to identify four suspects and subsequently obtained warrants for their
arrests.
Joshua Torres age 30 of Lawrence, Joseph Bazemore age
31 of Methuen, Wigberto Maldonado age 32 of Lawrence and Jose
Figueroa age 19 of Haverhill were all arrested and later arraigned in Lawrence Districts
Court and face firearms related charges.
