The Awards Committee has selected Det. Kevin Schiavone as The Officer of the Month for November 2017 with his discovery of a pattern of crime involving multiple victims of check fraud. You began the investigation with only one victim, but soon realized a victim pattern emerging. You worked with other agencies and were able to identify as many as 57 victims, with the majority of them from Lawrence.  You were also able to identify four suspects to date and are continuing to seek out other victims as well as identify suspects. You were able to uncover an organized crime ring targeting multiple victims.
