The City of Lawrence Licensing Board, in conjunction and agreement with the Police Department, Fire Department and Inspection Services Department, has created new rules and regulations relative to all alcohol establishments within the City.
Massachusetts Law requires that all residential buildings be inspected by the fire department upon sale or transfer. The inspection is to ensure the proper location and operation of automatic smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
As part of the new contract, and the City’s continued efforts to reduce the volume of solid waste and its associated costs, the City will no longer include any business establishments, mixed use properties or apartment buildings with 7 or more units.
