Absentee Voting
SEPTEMBER 15, 2021, AT 5:00 P.M. - Last day and hour to request an absentee ballot by mail for the Preliminary Election.
SEPTEMBER 20, 2021, AT 12:00 P.M. - Last day and hour to request an absentee ballot for "in person" voting for Preliminary Election - at Lawrence City Hall - Room 4 - Lawrence, MA.
Voters who are registered to vote may vote by absentee ballot.
Lawrence voters who:
- will be out of Lawrence on Election Day, or
- have a medical reason prohibiting them from voting on Election Day, or
- have a religious conflict that prevents them from voting on Election Day
may submit a written, signed request to have an Absentee Ballot mailed to them.
Although applications for Absentee Ballots must be received at the City Clerk's Office or the Election Office by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September 20, 2021, it is recommended that all requests for an Absentee Ballot be filed as early as possible to allow us to be able to send it to you and to be returned in time to be counted.
